The joy of a custom build is we can fine tune the specifications of a bike to really suit an individual and their riding plans. But we often get asked for indicative pricing or a starting point for a custom build.
This spec broadly echoes Tumbleweed USA's own house build, with a few spec shifts. We reckon 29 x 2.6" tyres is where it's at for bikepacking; for that, DT Swiss wide rims are the way to go.
We have included a SON dynamo hub and hand-built wheels, but haven't included any lights or USB charging capacity. We love this sort of kit though so its definitely worth incorporating.
