The Stock Surly Ghost grappler comes as a drop bar build thats ready for touring and offroad adventures, but for folks that prefer a standard MTB bar for extra control or a more upright position we built this fun "House Build". 

It also makes sense for some customers who might have been looking at the Surly Karate Monkey but wanted a more relaxed riding position. The Karate Monkey and the Ghost grappler are very similar in terms or ride feel and handling, but the Grappler has a significantly taaller headtube and a non suspension corrected fork. This means heaps more space for a frame bag and other cargo.

 

We built this bike with a sweet Shimano SLX 1x12 drive train, SLX Hydro Brakes, Purple Duroc Hubs, Maxxis Rekon tyres, 27.5 x 2.6"  tyres. Tumbleweed Persuader bars, Ergon grips, Cane Creek headset.
